LGANT recognizes members who have gone above and beyond in their jobs and service to their community. Nominees should display outstanding commitment, dedication, and public service, and be held in high regard by his/her profession and community.

 

Award categories include:

 

Senior Administrator of the Year Award

 

Eligibility

 

  1.  Nominees hold an LGA position (including titles of Senior Administrative Officer, Band Manager, Chief Administrative Officer, Town Manager, Council Manager, Chief Executive Officer or City Administrator) for a community government in the NWT for at least two years.

  2. Be employed by a local community government in the Northwest Territories on the date of the nomination submission.

Band Manager Mentor Award

The Band Managers Working Group (BMWG) encourages professional learning and peer support among First Nation administrators in the Northwest Territories. The award will go to the Band Manager or SAO who has exemplified the spirit of the BMWG by offering support and advice to their colleagues in the past year. Nominees must hold the position of Band Manager at the time of the nomination.

 

Please complete the Nomination Form below, along with a letter supporting the nomination including:  

  • a paragraph describing the help and advice you have received from the Band Manager

  • how that help has helped you improve your performance

  • one example of that positive impact

  • Nomination Form
