Contract/Finance Coordinator

Under the authority of the YKDFN Government Chiefs and Council and under the direct supervision of Finance Director, the Coordinator will manage and support the YKDFN’s contract management procedures and processes. The role is integral to the finance team in ensuring that contract deliverables and financial obligations, as per the YKDFN Finance Policy are met with key stakeholders, internally and externally, in a manner that goals and outcomes are achieved for the First Nations. Economic Development Officer

Reporting to the Economic Development Manager, the Economic Development Officer (EDO) is responsible for developing and implementing the economic initiatives that will improve the community and socio-economic status ensuing from Giant Mine remediation projects for the communities of YKDFN. Working collaboratively with the YKDFN economic arm, the EDO will provide services in all sectors, including business support, commercial development, arts and crafts and tourism, with a mandate aimed at developing and sustaining a healthy business community in the communities of Dettah and Ndilo. LANDS COORDINATOR

The person will play an important role in connecting the activities of the Lands Office to the community and supplying a presence in Fort Liard. The Lands Coordinator will provide local knowledge in meetings with Government and Industry, plus engage members to share information and then inform members of projects happening impact the Band’s Lands. This position may be right for you, if you are interested in determining how resources are protected and used, you are interested in promoting habitat restoration and stewardship, and you enjoy engaging with others to share local perspectives and hear feedback from the community.
